It seems that most people expect to "feel" something shortly after beginning to supplement with CBD and may stop far short and never reach their wellness goals. Since the FDA seems to be slow to adopt the use of CBD and has not issued guidelines for dosing CBD, it is up to each individual to experiment to reach their beneficial level of CBD on a consistent basis.
It is our personal experience that you must work up to a dosage that ultimately works for you and BE CONSISTENT and BE PATIENT as it can take a few weeks to a month or more to notice changes in how you may feel and can be months before you reach full benefits. Dropping out before the CBD has taken effect, or not being relatively consistent on a day-to-day basis are two of the major reasons we feel people may not receive benefit, similar to other supplements and prescription medications. Conversely, taking too much may negate the benefits, so if you intend to try CBD products, remember work up to a dosage (don't start too high) and be consistent in your use of the supplement so you are not just wasting your money and efforts.
Cannabidiol (CBD) can remain in your system for generally 3-4 days (also referred to as "half life"), although it can depend on many factors including your personal health and activity level, how much CBD you take and how you take it. The half life of CBD in your body will depend on whether you take it orally, topically, through vaporizing or other methods.
NOTE CONCERNING TOPICALS: Initially, topicals may need to be applied several times throughout the day over an extended period of time until relief is experienced then as needed.
